Fmoc-D-Ile-OH is a peptide that inhibits the activation of protein interactions. It is also used as a research tool to study the binding of ligands to receptors. Fmoc-D-Ile-OH has been shown to bind to ion channels, such as nicotinic acetylcholine receptor and voltage gated potassium channels. This inhibitor has also been shown to bind with high affinity to a receptor with unknown identity.
