β-Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone (MSH), human, a 22-residue peptide, acts as an endogenous melanocortin-4 receptor (MC4-R) agonist[1].
β 促黑素细胞激素是垂体中由阿黑皮素原经翻译后加工形成的多肽激素,优先结合黑皮质素受体 1,对其余亚型受体结合能力较弱,对应解离常数分别为 0.89 纳摩尔、10.64 纳摩尔、8.18 纳摩尔、76.9 纳摩尔。1 微摩尔浓度可诱导离体兔脂肪细胞发生脂解,每只兔子给药 45 微克可提升进食及禁食状态下兔子体内血浆胰高血糖素、胰岛素与游离脂肪酸水平。伴有疼痛症状的不宁腿综合征患者脑脊液中 β 促黑素细胞激素含量有所升高。
β-Melanocyte-stimulating hormone (β-MSH) is a peptide hormone produced by post-translational processing of proopiomelanocortin (POMC) in the pituitary gland. It selectively binds to melanocortin receptor 1 (MC1R) over MC3R, MC4R, and MC5R (K s = 0.89, 10.64, 8.18, and 76.9 nM, respectively). β-MSH (1 µM) induces lipolysis in isolated rabbit adipocytes. It increases plasma levels of glucagon, insulin, and free fatty acids in fed or fasted rabbits when administered at a dose of 45 µg/animal. Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) levels of β-MSH are increased in patients with restless legs syndrome with painful symptoms.
