Methyl ester of Z-DEVD-FMK, a specific caspase-3 inhibitor. Z-D(OMe)E(OMe)VD(OMe)-FMK reduces vulnerability to the neuronal death that occurs in the aftermath of kainic acid-evoked status epilepticus (SE).
