我院李良成副教授等发现导致糖尿病的一个关键基因

药学院李良成副教授和美国伊利诺伊大学芝加哥分校(UIC)医学院研究人员最近在糖尿病研究领域的顶级学术杂志《Diabetes》上发表文章,揭示了有关糖尿病发生机制的一个关键基因。

论文表示,在小鼠胰腺beta-细胞内特异性敲除Ig20/Madd基因可导致小鼠持续高血糖,该小鼠胰腺beta-细胞形态学及小鼠对胰岛素的敏感性与野生型小鼠没有明显差异。正常小鼠胰岛beta-细胞受葡萄糖刺激时可分泌胰岛素,但Ig20/Madd基因敲除小鼠的胰腺beta-细胞受葡萄糖刺激时胰岛素无法分泌到血液中发挥调控血糖的水平。
